This month we are revisiting a hike that was very popular a year ago: the Cold War era Air Force base that watched for Soviet bombers heading for Los Angeles. It was part of the NIKE missile defense system, and from the observation tower you will have an incredible 360-degree view of the entire Los Angeles region. This is an easy walk starting at Encino Hills Drive and Mulholland Dr. Meet there at 9 AM, or at the church at 8:30 to carpool.
